Abstract:

Learn how the IBM Operational Decision Manager team is addressing the challenges of making the right decision, at the right time and place, based on complex, correlated sequences of events, business entities, analytics and predictive models. Decision Server Insights, part of ODM Advanced, allows business logic to move far beyond traditional stateless decision-making, to unlock new use cases while retaining the ease of use and declarative nature of business rules. This session provides a technical overview of Decision Server Insights, describes targeted use cases and presents some initial best practices.

Alex Kelly:

Alex Kelly is a Performance Analyst on the Decision Server Insights team, based at the IBM Hursley Software Lab in the UK. Alex has worked on the Insights product from the beginning, focusing mainly on the performance in the clustered, high-availability configuration.

Matt Roberts:

Matt Roberts is a Smarter Process architect who loves building prototypes and solutions with his clients. In particular, Matt has worked with many of the early adopters of Decision Server Insights across Europe applying this real-time situation detection technology to identify new opportunities for process improvement. Matt has a background in business rules and is a certified ODM developer.
