Title:
Integration hub is valuable: how do we prove it?
Stream:
BAM In Focus (4)
Speakers:
Richard Brown
Abstract:
We know our integration hub is valuable... so how do we prove it to the business?\n\nThe problem with integration hubs is that the business only notices them when they goes wrong. If payments stop moving, if claims aren't processed or if trades get stuck, somebody soon notices. Those messages flowing over the bus contain business data: counterparties.... products.... prices.... So surely we can aspire to be more than an irritation when things go wrong! In this presentation, we introduce examples from insurance, retail banking and investment banking that show how these messages can be captured, aggregated and presented on meaningful dashboards to line-of-business users. In this presentation we explain how the bus can escape from the technical ghetto and become the enabler of real-time business insight.
